People often ask if they can bring pets to our session..

Of course! For many people pets are just as much a part of the family. I completely understand wanting to include them in your family photos! I do have a few guidelines for brining pets along to make the session as smooth as possible.

1.

Take them for a long walk or to the dog park to play fetch the day of. Try and get all their zoomies out so they are more relaxed for our session and can interact with the family.

2.

Number 2 and possibly the most important- bring a support person so help with them to our session. Typically, pets can last about 15/20 minutes and then they are ready to rest or walk and explore the area. We'll knock out all of the images with your pet at the beginning of the session, and then your support person can take them to the car or for a walk.

3.

Bring treats! Or anything else your pet enjoys that will help keep them motivated. Usually I will hold some treats behind the lens to get them to look my way.

4.

Manage your expectations. Pets can be sensitive to new people, new areas, and new smells. I will use all my tricks in my hat, but sometimes they just don't want to participate. That's okay! We'll get some images of you all running together, playing fetch, and getting some snuggles in.
